Pokemon GO: Everything That Changed Since You Quit Playing!

Since tons of fans quit playing months ago due to the rough wild fire that was clearly lit among the Pokémon GO community due to various features not being implimented, the lack of Pokémon and the key feature (3-step) failing.

Niantic has proven time and time again that they are looking to improve mistakes and get all of these trainers back.

Generation 2 Pokémon

One of the main features that fans complained about were the lack of Pokémon to catch due to there being only 151 of the original, minus the legendary Pokémon that are still not in the game. Legendary Pokémon are due to release very soon as Generation 2 Pokémon are already out in the game.

More Items

One of the main features in the game were lures and other items such as berries that helped us catch Pokémon, though these berries seemed to never work. The game recently added TMs(Technical Machines) to help trainers get desired move sets, evolution items, and more berries that actually work. Oh, and they also added Rare Candy

Gym Badges

With the new raids feature being added, gym badges were also implemented to help trainers show off their achievements and to give these trainers more things to due. These raids also give trainers better rewards than the last gym feature.

A Raid Battle is a cooperative gameplay experience that encourages you to work with other Trainers to defeat an extremely powerful Pokémon known as the Raid Boss. Before a Raid Battle begins, all Pokémon assigned to the Gym will return to their Trainers, and a large Egg will appear atop the Gym. When the countdown above the Egg reaches zero, the Raid Boss will be revealed.

Gym changes

Gyms are no longer based on Prestige and training. Instead, they now feature six permanent slots that can be filled by the controlling team’s Pokémon. Each Pokémon assigned to these slots must be unique. For example, only one Blissey can be assigned to a Gym at a time. In addition, opposing teams will battle the Pokémon in the order they were assigned to the Gym.

Holiday Events

During holidays and special occasions Niantic now release a special event to help fans enjoy the day and celebrate it with other fans! Some of these events include double xp, spawn increases and more.

Live Events

Niantic now host world wide Pokemon Go Festivals for trainers all around the world to attend. These live events come with meet and greets, food and more activities!

Niantic also seems to be working on PvP more than ever, so we should expect PvP to be added to this list by the end of the year hopefully.
