Pokémon GO: Niantic extends radius of Kangaskhan spawns in Europe

Pokemon Go Extends Radius of Kangaskhan Spawns in Europe

Pokémon GO is giving more players a chance to capture Kangaskhan. The game recently extended the radius in which Kangaskhan spawns to about 40 kilometers from the city’s center.

The extended radius also affects the “E” “U” “R” “O” and “P” Unown that have popped up around Europe this week.

Kangaskhan is usually a Pokémon exclusive to Australia, but Pokémon GO temporaily unlocked Kangaskhan spawns in about 40 cities in Europe last weekend. The impromptu event was an apology of sorts to fans for the cancellation of several “Safari Zone” events planned for select Unibail Rodamco malls around Europe.

The Safari Zone events were supposed to feature Kangaskhan and several other special Pokémon, but were postponed in the aftermath of the disastrous Pokémon GO Fest. Several Safari Zone events are still planned for September.
