Pokémon GO: Two-Player team takes down a Legendary Moltres

Two-Player Pokemon Go Team Takes Down a Legendary Moltres

A pair of Pokémon GO trainers took down the legendary Pokémon Moltres in a raid. Just the two of them. Showing Pokémon trainers worldwide that they can raid it on their own.

Trainer Boushinshi posted a video of the two players battling against the Moltres in the Silph Road subreddit. Although a raid can host up to 20 players, Boushinishi and their partner did it with a fraction of the players as you can see in this two minute video. Although both players are at the level cap of 40, Moltres has more than 40,000 combat power making it a difficult battle for trainers at any level.

Using a team of Golems, a popular raid Pokémon, the two were able to take down Moltres eventually, though it was no easy battle. Boushinshi’s teams of Golems were furiously cycled through as the pair manages to take down Moltres at the very end.

Players have been hitting the internet to share their Moltres raid victories since the Pokémon was released to the wild on Monday. The duo team raises the stakes on players who’ve been successfully facing off against Moltres in teams of three or more however, and at the same time proving some theories about how a two-team approach to Legendary Pokémon is possible.
